Hi, Currently I am running XP MCE2005 sp2. on
3.0 ghz Socket 775 (2) gig ddr2 ram Gigabyte MB ATI 800XT AIW (AGP) (2) SATA HDD's I am upgrading everything minus the HDD's So I am swapping the current gear with AMD X2 4400+ ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe NVIDIA 6600GT (2) gig ddr corsair XMS ram So if I put my hdd's in this new setup will windows boot and detect the new hardware and run me through the activation process or will I have to re-install windows xp? |

XP isn't real happy about switching major components like the motherboard.
You can try it but more than likely it would be in your best interest to start a fresh windows XP install at least on the C: drive. Repair installs don't work well with MCE. You can save yourself lots of time
