Default Major System Upgrade / Activation Questions.

Hi, Currently I am running XP MCE2005 sp2. on
3.0 ghz Socket 775
(2) gig ddr2 ram
Gigabyte MB
ATI 800XT AIW (AGP)
(2) SATA HDD's

I am upgrading everything minus the HDD's
So I am swapping the current gear with
AMD X2 4400+
ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe
NVIDIA 6600GT
(2) gig ddr corsair XMS ram

So if I put my hdd's in this new setup will windows boot and detect the
new hardware
and run me through the activation process or will I have to re-install
windows xp?

XP isn't real happy about switching major components like the motherboard.
You can try it but more than likely it would be in your best interest to
start a fresh windows XP install at least on the C: drive.

Repair installs don't work well with MCE. You can save yourself lots of time
and trouble by installing clean.
