Hi
I have installed a set of SATA disks in my computer, and want to install windows on these disks instead of on my current IDE drive. Atm I have windows up and running, and no problem in using the disks BUT..... My computer have no disk-drive, and I don't know how to install windows on the new drives.... Is it possible to do an install from a running version of windows instead of rebooting all the time??? Or can I edit a file, or copy the drivers to a spicific directory and then burn a new copy of the installation disc?? Best Regards Henrik A |

You 1st need to unplug the IDE drive(s),then boot into BIOS,select cdrom as
1st boot device, enable youre SCSI drive, then boot to xp cd,press F6 for floppy disk driver installation for SCSI controller, once thru, continue on to xp cd boot info screen, select install xp.You'll need to get a floppy drive, thier only 15.00 or so,used ones a computer shop will probably give it to you almost free.... Do you know where I can download the Sata Driver from as my Sata Hard drive did not come with a Driver? It is an SP1614C Hard drive. Thanks |
