I am setting up an image of XP Pro SP1 (soon to be SP2) for deployment. In
the master image to be deployed I want to be able to set a GPO (if possible) to disable the Windows XP Tour for all users who log on to the PC. I have tried importing settings into the registry, this goes into HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Only works for that user. I also want to get rid of the animated search feature (the dog) for any user who may log on to the PC. I have tried setting the user settings & then copying them to the default user folder, but this does not seem to stop Rex the little dog from showing up when a new user logs on. I want try setting a local GPO as we do not currently use any Domain level GPO’s at this time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
