All:
I'm fairly sure I've answered my own question, but for my own sanity I'm going to ask it anyway... Is there any restriction, limit, foible, caveat, whatever, that would prevent a legal, legitimate, absolutely proper copy of MS XP Pro - Academic Version from upgrading a machine from a vendor with that vendor's absolutely proper copy of XP Home? Example: Gateway sells MooCow Model X with XP Home, but they want too much for the XP Pro upgrade (because academic version is cheaper). I want to buy the Academic XP Pro Upgrade instead. Any reason I can't do that? (Yes, I am legitimately entitled to acad. version). Thanks, -intrepid Please reply to group...email in msg is long-since dead. |

But read the package carefully, including the fine print, before purchasing. Returning opened software can be problematic. Good luck Ron Martell Duncan B.C.
