Hi all,
I need some help loading a RIS image onto an IBM R51. I am running a RIS server with Windows 2003 SP1 and the image itself is XPSP2. The error I am receiving is 'The operating system image you selected does not contain the necessarry drivers for your network adapter'. It's clear that it's a NIC driver issue when it switches to SMB setup, what I can't do is find the appropriate drivers for the appropriate locations. The Intel PRO/1000 MT Mobile Connection ethernet controller is present in the R51. All the other images i've created for HP/Compaq machines work fine. I have read the following KB articles: http://support.intel.com/support/net.../cs-000023.htm http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=315279 ....and followed the instructions to the letter. I've used drivers from the IBM site, Intel site and tried replacing /not replacing the e1000325.inf file as instructed by the intel article. I've tried windows 2000 and windows 2003 drivers. I've tried using PRO/100 drivers as well without success. I've stopped and started the binlsvc service before each attempt. There must be a way to get this laptop RIS'ed, can anyone help me and tell me a working driver combination to load the NIC on the ThinkPad R51? Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks for reading. Kind regards, James |
