Default Monitor Question

Hi All,

I bought one of those popular Dell 2405FPW monitors. Problem is, I
cannot get this thing out of 1024x768. This thing is supposed to do
1920x1600.

I have a Radeon 9700 All In Wonder video card. Also, this is my main
monitor for 4 computers, so everything is hooked to a KVM switch, which
means I cannot use the DVI cable.

Could that be causing my issue?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Arthur

Thanks Cary, I saw all that in the manual but have had no luck. I
built the system myself.......which has an Asus 8N7Ax Deluxe MB, AMD
Allon 3200, 1GB RAM, etc, etc, etc......

Any other suggestions? Maybe just trash Windows and re-install?

Also, since the Athlon's are gonig bye-bye, maybe it is time for
another system overhaul? Get an AMD 64? But if I do that, and have
the change the motherboard, the new Asus motherboards are all PCI-E for
the Video card, not AGP. What to do with my 9700 All In Wonder......

I'll give it a try. I've a lot of bad luck recently.

We had some type of power surge which damaged my AMD Athlon 3200 chip
such that it no longer works with my Radeon 9700 all In Wonder. And,
they have depreciated the AMD Athlon chips. So, I can try and find
one, or just do an overhaul and get a new Asus motherboard and an AMD
64 of some type, which would require a new Video card since a lot of
the new MB's are now PCI-E........

PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!!

What is the KVM switch maximum resolution? Have you tried connecting
your monitor directly to one of your computers to see if that works?
