Default Classic Start Menu and "Adjust for best performance option"

Hi All,

I want to deploy windows xp in my network with the classic start menu and
the setting in System Properties/Advanced/Performance "adjust for best
performance" for all users. I want to try and avoid using the default user
profile because of KB article 828287.

The problem is I do not know where the HKCU settings should be applied to
the HKLM. Because they are not the same.

Any suggestions would really help.

Thanks,
Speed

Okay found one out for the start menu!

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\
Explorer]
Value Name: NoSimpleStartMenu
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (1 = force classic menu, 0 = default)

(if keys and sub keys do not exist, create them. Log off and log back on.
Voila)

Now for the other.
