Did you install the motherboard chipset drivers? Did you check Compaq's

I ended up reinstalling Windows XP Pro to a different directory, and
re-installing all my apps. Then after I had the system stable, I upgraded to XP SP2. Everything is working fine, including the Intel (4) 81082E Graphics Controller. Oh well, glad you got it working. Remember to defrag the drive after
