Ulead videostudio 9 crashes on startup

One minute it worked fine the next it crashed every time I tried to start it
up. Ulead support say try clean uninstall / re-install but that did not
work. I tried as a trial to load it on my work computer and the software
loaded ok from the disk, so what has gone wrong with my home pc. It must be
a problem other than the Ulead software itself. I have tried everything in
my limited ability and have hit a brick wall. HELP!

After the program crashes, what does the Event Viewer say... (Control Panel,
Admin Tools, Event Viewer)

Find below the application and system error logs. One further point advised
by another user with same problem that videostudio would work if you set up a
new user account. I tried this and it did work? However it still won't work
in the original user account. Advised subsequently by that person that
videostudio has since stopped working in the new account (same problem)

SYSTEM LOG (shows error but at initial computer boot up (probably related as
refers to Ulead type files)
