I have not been able to view the movie I burned to a CDR disc despite reading
all the troubleshooting, and working over 8 hours on a 6 minute movie. Finally a friend transferred the movie to her program and we then could view it. HELP -- n |

A bit more info would help
![]() How did you burn to the cdr? What programme did you use? What settings did you use? What file type did you use? What have you been trying to view the movie with? Computer? Dvd player? Does this dvd player support the type of movie/cdr you made? Now if I make assumptions and take it you used Movie maker adn burned the cd from this, then it only make HiMAt cd's which are not playable in dvd players, but should play in your pc. You friend had a programme which makes vcd's and this is playable in your dvd player. Solution, buy the programme your friend has, or check if you have it or something similar already on your pc. Thank you, that answers my question. What good is Movie Maker if I can only
show it on my computer??? Ha! Plan to get a different program. Any suggestions? -- n "Graham Hughes" wrote: > A bit more info would help ![]() > > How did you burn to the cdr? > What programme did you use? > What settings did you use? > What file type did you use? > What have you been trying to view the movie with? > Computer? > Dvd player? > Does this dvd player support the type of movie/cdr you made? > > Now if I make assumptions and take it you used Movie maker adn burned the cd > from this, then it only make HiMAt cd's which are not playable in dvd > players, but should play in your pc. Movie maker is really an editing app, you then use an authoring app to
author the vcd/svcd/dvd. For beginning and ease of use look at nero/roxio which you may already have. If you don't then there is vcdeasy for making vcd/svcd's. see here http://www.myvideoproblems.com/WebPa...Programmes.htm for a link to it and a helpful getting started guide. As you progress you may find you want more functionality, so you could look at moving up the scale. Ulead and Pinnacle also do nice all in one apps, so you can edit and author all in one programme. -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "nurnal" <nurnal@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7BAA255D-CE59-471D-9C5D-8A78B9DBAAA8@microsoft.com... > Thank you, that answers my question.
