Default Playing DVD on my HTPC

I recently switched from using a DVI-HDMI cable to the HDTV dongle that came
with my GF6200 PCIE video card. Since then it will not let me play
commercial DVD in it, something about video out to the TV. I have no problem
playing WMV HD DVD and my home made dvd's so I know my HTPC is working. I
have read in some places that macrovision protection is stopping me from
watching which really doesn't make any sense. I am not trying to circumvent
the law but is there any way to get this work work? Thanks in advance for
any help.
