How did you get it to work, I think I have a problem similar to yours. Any
MPEG file that was generated through Picture Package isn ot recognized by any video handling software, such as Movie Maker. You either need to spend time finding apps to convert the file to dv-avi, it
can be done, but you need to buy programmes, or just give up on MM and buy an app like Ulead videostudio9 which will work on mpegs. Mpegs were not designed with editing in mind, so it's always going to be hard, check out the pages at the bottom of this list for more info. http://www.myvideoproblems.com/Tutorials/Tutorials.htm -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "MP66" <MP66@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:65CA134B-322A-4077-8B27-4ACBC34A9542@microsoft.com... > How did you get it to work, I think I have a problem similar to yours. > Any > MPEG file that was generated through Picture Package isn ot recognized by > any > video handling software, such as Movie Maker. > > "kortni87" wrote: > >> I got it to work thank you for all your help >> >> "Graham Hughes" wrote: >> >> > Perhaps google for another mpeg to wmv or avi converter and try that? >> > >> > -- >> > Graham Hughes >> > MVP Digital Media >> > www.myvideoproblems.co.uk >> > www.dvds2treasure.com >> > www.simplydv.com >> > >> > >> > "kortni87" <kortni87@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >> > news:8EA6453D-44B1-44EA-82E9-78A8A35FF0F8@microsoft.com... >> > >I installed the stoik video converter 2.1 and when i try to convert it >> > >to >> > >WMV >> > > for LAN (1 Mbps) it says video clips not definded any suggestions? >> > > >> > > >> > > "Graham Hughes" wrote: >> > > >> > >> you need to convert the mpeg files to avi or wmv. >> > >> Check out Stoik, >> > >> http://www.myvideoproblems.com/WebPa...Programmes.htm >> > >> >> > >> Graham >> > >> >> > >> -- >> > >> Graham Hughes >> > >> MVP Digital Media >> > >> www.myvideoproblems.co.uk >> > >> www.dvds2treasure.com >> > >> www.simplydv.com >> > >> >> > >> >> > >> "kortni87" <kortni87@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >> > >> news:C45CD0FD-97E1-477E-9279-E44897A85A3E@microsoft.com... >> > >> > Also when i import the video into movie maker i get audio but no >> > >> > picture. >> > >> > Is >> > >> > that fixable? >> > >> > >> > >> > "kortni87" wrote: >> > >> > >> > >> >> i used windvd creator and the video froze during playback in >> > >> >> certain >> > >> >> parts >> > >> >> and wasw choppy on a dvd and computer. >> > >> >> >> > >> >> "Cari (MS-MVP)" wrote: >> > >> >> >> > >> >> > MovieMaker doesn't really like MPEG files.
