Default Start up / Boot dramas

When turning on the computer it hangs at the manifacturers boot screen and i
need to do a crtl + alt + dlt for it to boot to windows. It also shuts down
the monitor (ie goes to sleep mode) or just stays a black screen and has no
display at all. Have an ATI 9600 card with the latest omega drivers, could
this be a card problem?

The obvious thing to do is to go back to the ATI drivers and try again.
