Sometimes when I'm making a music video and I use a lot of special effects on
one movie or have a lot of breaks in the footage I will try and save it but it won't let me because it says I don't have enough virtual memory. I have at least 75% free so I'm wondering if it's a bug...I'm not sure what to do. I try to save it again in a lesser quality but sometimes it still won't save completely and I end up with half a music video. What can I do about this? |

What are your pc specs, and your virtual memory settings?
When you say save it do you mean the project or to a file such as dv-avi? -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "Rei-chan" <Rei-chan@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:FC17D0AB-CFB9-411E-9926-88FC6C35EF12@microsoft.com... > Sometimes when I'm making a music video and I use a lot of special effects > on > one movie or have a lot of breaks in the footage I will try and save it > but > it won't let me because it says I don't have enough virtual memory. Here's a great article on virtual memory.
http://www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm What file types are in your movie, as in the video is it all dv-avi or wmv files, or does it contain files like mpeg or divx? Are there any jpeg stills in the movie, best to use bitmap, also if the audio is mp3 change it to wav. See here for how to save as a dv-avi which is the best quality setting. http://www.myvideoproblems.com/Tutor...SaveDV-AVI.htm -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "Rei-chan" <Reichan@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BF82F283-EB9C-4642-85DF-2BD2552037C6@microsoft.com... > I'm not sure...one time I found out how to get to it and check but I don't > know how to anymore....I'm sorry I'm not very good with computers... ^^" > and > I save the project as a file, a windows media file. > > "Graham Hughes" wrote: > >> What are your pc specs, and your virtual memory settings? >> When you say save it do you mean the project or to a file such as dv-avi? >> >> -- >> Graham Hughes >> MVP Digital Media >> www.myvideoproblems.co.uk >> www.dvds2treasure.com >> www.simplydv.com >> >> >> "Rei-chan" <Rei-chan@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >> news:FC17D0AB-CFB9-411E-9926-88FC6C35EF12@microsoft.com... >> > Sometimes when I'm making a music video and I use a lot of special >> > effects >> > on >> > one movie or have a lot of breaks in the footage I will try and save it >> > but >> > it won't let me because it says I don't have enough virtual memory.
