a) Do not install codec packs.... instead install the correct codecs for
the AVI files in question. You can find out what they are by downloading and installing G-Spot Codec Identifier.... http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ b) To burn a DVD or VCD requires additional software. Roxio (www.roxio.com) and Nero (www.nero.com) are perhaps the most commonly used packages. You do not change the format, the third party software reencodes the file and then burns the DVD. -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging "melissa, kevin & Kenzie" <melissa, kevin & Kenzie@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4D4F4DA6-80C5-4CD4-A973-333A9184723B@microsoft.com... >i dont know if i am doimg anything wrong but when i download any movies in >an > avi format windows media player wont play it. i have downloaded and > instaled > the codecs codes but they dont seem to be working. can somebody help me > before i destroy my computer. > > also, how do i change the format ( avi, wmv,wma ect....) to burn onto cd > or > dvd to play in my dvd player? |
