Running XP-Media Center Edition w/SP2, Dell 9100
When I try to play a DVD from Media Center get error message "Decoder error, decoder is either not installed or malfunctioned" DVD will play from Media Player and installed Power DVD v.5, but not from MCE. Any help would be appreciated. |

You may have multiple decoders on your system and perhaps one is not
compatible.... use the Decoder Checkup Utility and find out what you have and which it is using as the default http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging "Michael" <mfox2153a@earthlink.net> wrote in message news:x6_gf.4457$N45.2228@newsread1.news.atl.earthl ink.net... > Running XP-Media Center Edition w/SP2, Dell 9100 > > When I try to play a DVD from Media Center get error message "Decoder > error, decoder is either not installed or malfunctioned" > > DVD will play from Media Player and installed Power DVD v.5, but not from > MCE. > > Any help would be appreciated. > |
