Hello everybody,
I've got a problem with playing WMV files. I created the videos with Windows Moviemaker 2.1.x. There wasn't a problem playing the videos since I've installed my Windows again (new harddisk). I've also installed new RAM 256M -> 1G. With my "old" Windows everything works fine. The movie played without hanging. Since I've installed my Windows again the movie is hanging after about 10 secs. The audio is still running but the video hangs. If I "jump over" the movie plays for some time and hangs again. Also the noise in the Video has increased. It seems that I've installed a wrong codec. So I've installed "Windows Media ASF View 9 Series" It says: ------------------------ Codecs Name Description Type Format / FourCC Info Size Info "Windows Media Audio 9" "160 kbps, 44 kHz, stereo (A/V) 1-pass CBR" WMT_CODECINFO_AUDIO 353 2 0000: 61 01 "Windows Media Video 9" "Professional" WMT_CODECINFO_VIDEO WMV3 4 TEXT: WMV3 0000: 57 4D 56 33 WMV3 -------------------------------- I installed the codec pack from MS and the MediaPlayer Ver. 9.0.0.x file properties show me the correct codecs (In my opinion): Bitrate: 1660kbit/s : Videocodec: Windows Media Video 9 Professional Audiocodec: Windows Media Audio 9 160 kbps, 44 kHz, stereo (A/V) 1-pass CBR ------------------------ This happens with all wmv movies I made with WMM2. Please help me, the movies are weeks of working time ![]() Thanks a lot for your help Joerg / Germany |
