When I load a dvd, it says that:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a problem occurred with digital copyright protection." Can I get help with this? |

Yes. I have tried several different ones, all resulting in the same outcome.

Are you trying to output the DVD to a PC monitor or a TV? Did this problem
just occur? When was the last time you played a DVD correctly? -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging "trevor" <trevor@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:14C4BC18-9CCB-40BD-94F1-5A4EB4D6E98E@microsoft.com... > When I load a dvd, it says that: > "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a problem occurred with > digital copyright protection." > Can I get help with this? |

It is being outputted to a pc monitor. This has been going on for a while,
but yes, I was able to play them on my pc at one time. I had uninstalled Power DVD some time ago. Could that have something to do with it? You do have to have DVD decoding software installed on your PC.... PowerDVD
and/or WinDVD are the two most common. Without a version of one of these, you can't play a DVD. -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging "trevor" <trevor@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1D9E08B4-A4A3-4585-A148-821C891DC76E@microsoft.com... > It is being outputted to a pc monitor.
