Any suggestions on a utility that will convert RM video files to MPEG,
under WinXP Home? I've downloaded a number of utilities off Simtel that purport to do this, but none work under XP. Is there a way to "play" an RM video file and pipe it into a video capture utility of some kind? If so, what utility is recommended? Regards, Terry Smythe Winnipeg, Canada |

Not the easiest of conversions and usually goes out of sync but try:
EO Video and RM Converter http://www.divx-digest.com/software/eo_video.html and http://www.rmconverter.com/ -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging http://www.coribright.com/windows "Terry Smythe" <smythe@shaw.ca> wrote in message news:ifd1p1tdmr4btq0enaa5u9obmj61mjvv1r@4ax.com... > Any suggestions on a utility that will convert RM video files to MPEG, > under WinXP Home? > > I've downloaded a number of utilities off Simtel that purport to do > this, but none work under XP. > > Is there a way to "play" an RM video file and pipe it into a video > capture utility of some kind? RM-Converter and RMConverter (2 different) both failed to work under XP. EO-Video did work just fine. A more appropriate link for EO-Video is: http://www.eo-video.com/ From the divx link, took a fair amount of poking around to get to the proper link. Regards, Terry Smythe Winnipeg, Canada |

I tried the direct link yesterday, but when I posted, it was unavailable...
site was down. Happy to know it came back and you had success with it. As a long time user of EO, I'm still waiting with anticipation to get their new version.... but the wait seems rather long! -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging http://www.coribright.com/windows "Terry Smythe" <smythe@shaw.ca> wrote in message news lu4p19a34sgtbl6c8i69ob1baeppn14i0@4ax.com... > On Sat, 3 Dec 2005 11:35:09 -0800, "Cari \(MS-MVP\)" > <Newsgroups1@coribright.com> wrote: > >>Not the easiest of conversions and usually goes out of sync but try: >> >>EO Video >>and >>RM Converter >> >>http://www.divx-digest.com/software/eo_video.html >>and >>http://www.rmconverter.com/ > > > Thank you for the tip, appreciated.
