computer to tv display problem

i recently hooked my tv up as my computer monitor and it had been working
fine for a long time...... about two days ago i turned on my computer and the
screen for my computer is bigger than my tv. i have tried everything to fix
this problem but i havent found a way. if someone could help me out that
would be great

Right click on the desktop and select Properties.... then click on the
Settings tab.... change the resolution until you find one that fits
correctly.
