I recently decided to download the NHL 06 demo from EAsports.com, all went
well until it was time to play it. During the front loading stage of the game, it turns off and a notice comes on the the screen and says "3D accelarator card or video card was not fully intialized... contact your manufacturor". You see, I have no idea what a 3D accelarator card is. Where can I buy one? |

It's telling you that your graphics are not good enough. You need a good
graphics card to play a lot of newer high power games. What you need or can use depends entirely on your computer. What kind of computer? What model? What kind of graphics do you have, onboard or a graphics card? How many watts is the power supply on your computer? What kind of slots does your computer have inside? There are several different kinds of graphics cards. You need to know this stuff about your computer to proceed. For instance my new computer came with Intel 950 graphics integrated into the motherboard. Good but won't play intense games. My PC also had an available PCI express slot so I installed an ATI X700 Pro graphics card.
