monitor is going black
no picture sound is still there and the power button is green. i vcae to
shut it off and on to get the picture back, and it starting to happen more often

Could be a dying monitor or a bad connection from graphics card to
monitor... or loose wire inside the monitor. If it's new enough to be under guarantee, get it checked out.
