Default from dv cam to disc

ok, l,m a novice to all this so l don,t know what is best.l want to put on
disc from dv cam and want to know what you would recommend to do this with
one package to capture, encode, author, and burn.Also l don,t know if l can
ask this but is there a freeware that will do all this. thanks for any info

Let me get this straight, you want to capture video from your digital
camcorder and burn it direct to a DVD without editing it?

Yes, Roxio and Nero will both do this, and no, neither are free, but most
PCs do come with one or the other.

I would recommend capturing the video to the hard drive and then editing it
first and only when you are satisfied, then burning it to a DVD.
