I can view the avi files in Windows Media player but when I try to burn to a
disc, I get an error message that reads, "Windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this file." What to do? |

With which applications are you trying to burn the files?

I have a question that is similiar to this issue. I was able to download,
save, and burn to a dvd disk all in one step, but I did not move all of the files to the storyboard and I could only play my opening title from the DVD. So I moved all video files to storyboard and I saved it. But when I try to "Save to DVD' it tells me I need to save it again. How can I burn the file to disk? Do I need to use Nero to burn separately. Does movie maker only burn when through the wizard when staring from step 1? I have v2.1. Thanks, Ken "Graham Hughes" wrote: > and what sort of disc. > > -- > Graham Hughes > MVP Digital Media > www.myvideoproblems.co.uk > www.dvds2treasure.com > www.simplydv.com > > > "Cari (MS-MVP)" <Newsgroups1@coribright.com> wrote in message > news:u9gklq0DGHA.432@TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl... > > With which applications are you trying to burn the files? > > -- > > Cari (MS-MVP) > > Printing & Imaging > > http://www.coribright.com/windows > > > > > > > > "jv" <jv@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > > news:74CAF354-FE08-46AB-B085-4060DCB26C30@microsoft.com... > >>I can view the avi files in Windows Media player but when I try to burn to > >>a > >> disc, I get an error message that reads, "Windows encountered a problem > >> when > >> trying to copy this file."
