I’m running a computer with 2 exchangeable hard drives A and B, They have
essentially the same programs. The only difference is that I test new things first on A alone. Remote desktop (Rd) works on B, but recently stopped working on A. I’m not sure, why it stopped precisely. I had experimented among others with Skype and Windows OneCare, but removed them when I noticed that Rd had stopped working on A. I followed http://theillustratednetwork.mvps.or...eshooting.html. On A and B Desktop is enabled, the user is defined, the firewall is modified , no-ip installed, the IP address and TCP is listening on port 3389. Everything exactly the same on both A and B. But on A www.canyouseeme.org can not see port 3389 and Portqry gives TCP port 3389 (unknown service): LISTENING portqry.exe -n 192.168.15.100 -e 3389 -p TCP exits with return code 0x00000000. Any suggestions what could be the problem? Thanks in advance, Gerhard |
