CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP?????
I posted a question in the forum almost a week ago but as of yet, no one has responded. Is this because no one on the forum has seen my question, or wants to respond or just plain does not know the answer????? I am trying to install Remote Desktop Web Connection on an IBM PC at home which has an OEM copy of XP Pro with SP2 but I keep getting an error that says Setup cannot copy the file staxmem.dll Ensure that the location specified is correct, or change it and insert 'Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD' in the drive you specifi. I have verified that the 'specified location' is correct. I've even verified the existence of the noted file. I've called both Microsoft and IBM but each is pointing the finger at the other. Microsoft says if I got the PC with XP installed, I should call the PC manufacturer. IBM says they don't provide support for Microsoft applications. CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE??????? -- Everyday spent above-ground is a good day!! |

Try running, esentutl /p %windir%\security\database\secedit.sdb and then
try to install again.
