Hi,
When I'm connecting to a Win XP system I can't see the services that interact with the desktop. On a Win 2003 server using the /console switch I see the services. Is there a way to see those services using remote desktop for WinXP? Thanks |

Nope it doesn't work...the service is starting but I can't see the console.
If I connect locally with a user and then, without log off, I try to connect remotly with the same user account I can see the console. If there is no user logged locally then the service isn't interactive. Does this help? To restart the service everytime I'm connecting remotly is not an option (anyway it doesn't work). So that is your solution. Make system autologon and always connect to it using the same account. Do not logoff but always disconnect. If for some reason user is logged off, you may need to restart remote PC (if login again and restart that service does not work). |
