Remote Desktop does not work, because Port 3389 is not open.
Following http://theillustratednetwork.mvps.or...eshooting.html I checked : Remote Desktop is enabled, the right Remote Users are selected and the Exceptions tab for remote desktop is checked on Windows firewall. TsRdRxaminer confirms that Microsoft RDP is 5.1 version, listening port is 3389 and remote desktop is enabled. Cmd/ipconfig shows IP address as w.x.y.z. Can not connect to the host computer on the local Lan. I definitely know that the Port forwarding of TCP Port 3389 through the Link WRTP54G router works , because RD works when I change the hard drive. I reinstalled no-ip, it works. Security Event Viewer Log does not show the attempt to start remote desktop. Services.msc shows that Terminal Services is running. Cmd/ netstat –a shows PC is listening on TCP Port 3389. PortQryUI shows TCP port 3389 (unknown service): LISTENING portqry.exe -n 192.168.15.100 -e 3389 -p TCP exits with return code 0x00000000. But www.canyouseeme.org can not see port 3389, because connection timed out. Disabling all the protection programs on this computer: MS OneCare Beta, MS AntiSpyware, AVG and even the firewall did not help. What else could I check? Thanks in advance, Gerhard |

I reported to OneCareBeta that another person has the same problem. They
