Default VPN & Intranet

whenever i connect to my client's company network using VPN,
I notice that most of my internet based programs not able to works.
(e.g: MSN Messenger, and internet explorer).

i want to be able to use VPN to access my clients data,
and at the same time, want my internet based program
to be able to access internet through my own company's LAN.

Thanks!

Default RE: VPN & Intranet

You are taliking about Split Tunneling. You can do this, but don't. The
reason for this is that a machine that can access the Internet and your
internal network simultaneously is effectively acting as a hole in your
Firewall, bypassing all security, hence if the machine is compromised in
anyway, your network is susceptible.
