I support several thousand machines on a very large LAN/WAN. I am able
to connect to any machine I want via RD except for this one machine. It is running our corporate image just like every other machine. I can use this machine to control other machines via RD but I can't control this machine. I have both RD enabled and I have RD checked in the SP2 Firewall. It is not an issue with the routers or switches... it is all open for being able to do this. I have tried both the local Administrator account as well as domain accounts, none of them will allow an RD session to control the machine. The message I receive is: "The client could not connect to the remote computer. Remote connections might not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to accept new connections. It is also possible that network problems are preventing your connections. Please try connecting again later. If the problem continues to occur, contact your administrator. " I am the admin and there is nothing wrong. Short of reimaging this machine, what could it be? Thanks. Larry |

There is some troubleshooting information near the end of this page that may
be of help... http://theillustratednetwork.mvps.or...eshooting.html Beyond that there have been reports that NAV 2005 worm protection causes similar issues. Also a few folks have reported the OneCare Live Beta causes similar issues. Of course this all presumes you calling the correct IP address. -- Al Jarvi (MS-MVP Windows Networking) Please post *ALL* questions and replies to the news group for the mutual benefit of all of us...
