XPpro: I can ping from mainPC to others on LAN but not into main pc from
others. ( I could before). I can no longer connect from another pc on LAN to mainPC via remote desktop either. The XPpro firewall is disabled. I think the problem is caused by some windows update from the last year, changing some settings to a default. RD is still enabled I think. Thanks! |

Do a simple test. use netstat command on mainpc to make sure port 3389 open. Then use telnet mainpc ip 3389 from other computer to test the port. If telnet doesn't work, I will double check any firewall/security software running on the mainpc.
