OT: GoToMy PC ?

Is there anyone here who's used this more than casually?

There's a current controversy about Microsoft Antispyware.

Recent definitions now detect a cookie placed by GoToMyPC as follows:

From a scan result I found today. Build .615, definitions 5777, I believe.

Description: Certain cookies are designed to be shared among multiple
unrelated sites for the purpose of tracking a user's usage and browsing
patterns, gathering and sharing private user information or used for

may wish to examine the item further.

I believe that the default action is quarantine. The newsgroups are
reporting that removal or quarantine of this cookie disables GoToMyPC, and
that GoToMy PC's vendor is upset, and having trouble contacting Microsoft.
(I am not surprised they are upset, and suspect the "trouble contacting" is
a smokescreen.)


Anybody know anything about this cookie and its functionality or content?
