Default Remote Desktop Licensing

Can someone please lay out the requirements for using remote desktop, is
there a CAL that needs to be purchased in order to use it for support
purposes?

Thanks!

Not as far as connecting to Windows XP Professional hosts is concerned --
which, I assume, is what you had in mind asking in this group.

If your question was about Terminal Services licensing on Windows Server,
then the short answer is probably not (if "support" = remote
administration), but you might want to present your scenario (in greater
detail) in microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services group.

Hi,

The simple answer is that for support purposes you do not need Terminal
Service CALs to connect to any server. You can have two connections at one
time. You can connect to Windows XP desktops the same way and you would not
need any CALs.

If you need more help, please let me know.
