I have 4 Windows XP Pro PC's running, they all run TCP/IP and run thru a DSL
Router to access the internet. All can access the internet. My problem is two of my PC's will not allow each other to connect using Remote Desktop, such as: PC "Comm Room" can connect to all except PC "Asst" PC "Comm_Rm2" can connect to all PC "Asst" can connect to all except PC "Comm Room" PC "Serve1" can connect to all Any ideas why these two can not connect? or what to look at to resolve this? TIA Steve |

Can you ping "PC Asst" from "Comm Room" and vice versa?
Are you running any type of software firewall on those two PCs that may be blocking certain IP addresses? Anything in the event logs on those two PCs that may provide a clue? -- Al Jarvi (MS-MVP Windows Networking) Please post *ALL* questions and replies to the news group for the mutual benefit of all of us... Yes I can ping either computer from the other, initially I could not ping
the Asst computer from any computer, once I shutdown>sit for 10min>rebooted I could ping it .. I figured I would be able to access it but cannot ... will have to look at the event logs I actually turned off all firewalls and Anti-Virus stuff on the Comm Room ..... teh Asst PC has nothing yet since it is just out of the box ...
