Default Information required in Hosts file for remore client PCs.

ALL the operationg systems are Windows XP Home SP2. I am evaluating a product
called "TheGreenBow IPSec VPN Client" so that employees out of the office can
have secure access to the office LAN for file download, printing etc. I was
told that I need to setup/update the "Hosts" file to achieve this end. What
exactly:
1) Is this file function.
2) How do I update it.
3) With what information and format. (Each of the LAN PCs names and IP
addresses?, and what about the LAN printers and NAS?)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Look in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. You will see the hosts file. Open
it in notepad, you can probably figure it out from there.
