Hi,
We have a small network with windows 2K server. VPN and remote desktop on server was all set up for me and I have been able to set up another laptop onto the network, vpn and server remote desktop quite easily :=). Now I would like to connect to one of the work stations. I can do it from within the network, but when I go via the VPN I cannot find it. Obviously some setting, but what and How?? Thanks Mon (both computer run wXP pro) |

Once you connect to the network via the VPN you should be able to use the
private LAN IP of the PC to connect with RDP. Try pinging the IP of the PC you want to connect to. If you can ping it then you should be able to connect through the tunnel. -- Al Jarvi (MS-MVP Windows Networking) Please post *ALL* questions and replies to the news group for the mutual benefit of all of us... I would work with the office/work network administrators about this. They
may have RDP to the individual PCs disabled, etc... -- Al Jarvi (MS-MVP Windows Networking) Please post *ALL* questions and replies to the news group for the mutual benefit of all of us... I am doing my own network administration!! Learning as I go.
I can get on to that workstation from within the network, But not over the vpn. RDP on the server is fine over vpn.
