Monitor Stops Working after Remote Desktop Session

Default Monitor Stops Working after Remote Desktop Session

My desktop is Dell Dimension 8400 with XP Pro. Monitor is 2001FP

Once in a while I use remote desktop client, on my laptop, to login and work
on my desktop. Everytime I do this, the monitor on the desktop stops
working. Monitor behaves as if the computer is off. I can see that the PC
is on. I can disconnect & reconnect a remote desktop session into it. I
have to do a hard reboot to make the default monitor to work.

Has anybody faced similar issues? has any suggestions?

Try updating your video adapter drivers.

Beb, thanks for the comment. I have checked and all video adapter
drivers are up to date.
